Meadow Lark Washington is a psychotherapist in private practice for over 25 years. She treats individuals, couples and families facing a variety of personal and life issues including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma recovery, relationship conflicts and life transitions. She works collaboratively with her clients to explore their concerns and struggles, cultivate their inner resources, build on their strengths, identify and accomplish goals, and deal with unresolved issues from the past. Ms. Washington is president of the Board of Advisors for the University of Maryland School of Social Work, a member of the Community Advisory Board for WYPR radio station, was co-chair of the Modell Symposium on Domestic Violence, and serves on the board of the Bridges Program, which provides support for at risk students from the age of middle school through college. Ms. Washington has previously served on a number of other boards including the FANS Board of the Baltimore School for the Arts, the Advisory Board for the House of Ruth, the Greenspring Montessori School Board of Trustees, a committee of advisors to WYPR for their award winning series, The Lines Between Us, and acted as President of the Board of Pumpkin Theatre. Outside of the office, Ms. Washington is a voracious reader who loves tennis, theater, antiquing, food and travel.
